# Key terms

A quick reference for the words used throughout these guides.

<ResponseField name="Agency" type="that's you">
  The business that subscribes to Brandless and resells AI agents under its own
  brand. You manage everything from the agency dashboard at your domain.

<ResponseField name="Client (workspace)" type="your customer">
  One of your customers, with their own workspace under your brand. Clients log
  in at your domain and never see Brandless. On the Scale plan, clients can sign
  themselves up; on Starter and Growth, you create them.

<ResponseField name="Agent" type="the product">
  An AI voice or chat agent you build and assign to a client. Each agent has a
  prompt, a voice, language(s), a model, and optional knowledge and tools.

<ResponseField name="Branch & version">
  Safe editing. You make changes on a branch and publish when ready, and every
  publish is a version you can roll back to.
</ResponseField>

<ResponseField name="Credits" type="your usage balance">
  Your usage balance — shown as "Credits" but measured in real dollars. Voice
  and chat usage draws it down; each plan includes a monthly allowance.

<ResponseField name="Self-serve mode" type="Scale">
  Lets your clients create their own workspace at your domain instead of you
  creating each one by hand. Available on the Scale plan.

<ResponseField name="Custom domain & custom email">
  White-labeling your URLs and emails. Connect your own domain (every plan) so
  clients sign in at your address, and send their emails from your own domain
  (Growth and Scale).
